Making of Nekromantik 2

During a sex scene, in the background there’s a drawing by Karen Greenlee, an actual necrophile. She worked as an embalmer and was arrested for stealing a hearse and interfering with a funeral. She also confessed to having sex with 20-40 corpses. She described herself as a morgue rat and considered necrophilia an addiction.

The Sputnik Kino seen in the film first opened its doors in 1954, set in the Wedding district of Berlin.

Our view on Nekromantik 2

Jörg Buttgereit’s takes a slow buildupup in this extreme horror movie. The buildup where Monika and her new boyfriend Mark go dating and visit a fairground and a zoo are a big contrast to the scenes where Monika is loving the corpse she bas in her house. Berlin fairground nekromantikThere is some animal cruelty (the killing of a real seal that was not neccesary and pure for shock) The climax at the ending of the movie is making up for the flaws in this film. Certainly not for everyone. Exploitflix warning.
