Zombie Holocaust (1980)
Zombie Holocaust also known as Dr. Butcher MD is an Italian horror film from 1980 with a mix up of the Zombie and Cannibal subgenres. It’s directed by Marino Girolami. Starring Ian McCulloch snd Alexandra Delli Colli. Written by Fabrizio de Angelis.
Plot
A hospital worker is found to have been devouring bodies in the morgue in New York. Morgue assistant Lori (Alexandra Delli Colli) discovers he was from the Asian Molucca islands where she grew up. Dr. Peter Chandler (Ian McCulloch) investigates, and he and Lori
discover that similar corpse mutilations have occurred in other city hospitals, where immigrants from Indonesia are working.
Peter leads an expedition to the islands to investigate, where he teams up with Doctor Obrero (Donald O’Brien) together with a team of people. The crew is hunted by cannibals and zombies, created by Doctor Obrero, who is experimenting with corpses.
Lori is then made queen of the cannibals
and sends them off against dr Obrero and his zombie army.

Making of Zombie Holocaust
Zombie Holocaust was filmed on the same sets as Zombie (1979), which was released five months later.
It was not listed as an official video nasty in th UK but the pre cert video was seized by the police in the UK. Only to be released fully uncut in 2000.
Most of the music used in the movie soundtrack was from Nico Fidenco’s Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals (1977) soundtrack.
The movie was banned under the obscenities law in most parts of Europe.
