Plot the Hostage Tower

Mr. Smith (Keir Dullea) is a criminal mastermind
Smith draws together a team for a heist including weapons expert Mike Graham (ex-CIA) and Thieles Sabrina and Clarence.

Mr. Smith captures the Eiffel Tower and kidnaps the mother of the President of the United States.
Mr. Smith demands a ransom of $30 million without which he will blow up the tower and the President’s mother.
He protects the tower from infiltration by stealing four high-power lasers which will shoot anyone entering who is not equipped with a protective device. But there are spies in his team…

This film was based on an outline written by Alistair MacLean which had been commissioned from him around 1980. MacLean did not write the subsequent novel which was penned by John Denis. The fictitious UNACO organization, the United Nations Anti-Crime Organization, was created by MacLean.

This was the first production to be granted full use of the Eiffel Tower for filming.

Our view on The Hostage Tower

In this partly written Alistair MacLean adaptation, Mr Smith (Keir Dullea) gathers a team together to capture the Eiffel Tower and kidnap the mother of the US President. Among the team are Mike Graham (Peter Fonda), Sabrina (Maud Adams) and CW (Billy Dee Williams). Unknown to Mr Smith, Adams and Williams characters are undercover for Philpott (Douglas Fairbanks Jr) who has been trying to capture Mr Smith for some time. Graham, who is a bit of a renegade helps Sabrina and CW rescue the President’s mother and stop Mr Smith from blowing up the Eiffel Tower.xploitflix must see!
