Making of Raiders of Atlantis
Ruggero Deodato directed this Indiana Jones cash-in but is better known for his Cannibal movie, Cannibal Holocaust.
During the opening sequence, Washington throws a rope with a grappling hook over the second floor balustrade of the house. As Mike climbs up the rope and over the balustrade, the rope has been wrapped around the top rail for safety.
As the CAM Transit bus heads for the car roadblock, there are a number of raiders in front of the cars who jump aside to avoid the impact. In the next shot, they are gone.
Protective panels appear and disappear around the driver’s seat of the CAM Transit bus before and after the roadblock explosion.
Rapid change from day to night and back again during the warehouse battle.
Our view on Raiders of Atlantis
RAIDERS OF ATLANTIS is many movies in one. Ruggero Deodato got his ‘inspiration’ from a lit of blockbusters like raiders of the lost ark, Mad Max, First Blood, Escape from New York and so on.
The main star is Christopher Connelly and he even did some of his own stunts.
A lot of spectacular sceneswith bullets, explosions and a decapitation. Exploitflix says this is a must see!
